Week six, why so serious?
In order to provide more breathing room for the TXP Family of sites, the cross-references over at PHPCrossRef have been password protected. I’m a giving person, but there’s no way some guy in the Ukraine can read through 5,083 pages in the span of a week. Enough is enough.
One of the reasons I’m not too keen on feeding the TXP Planet site with forum posts anymore is that every so often I catch a thread that’s about me, and it’s never anything nice. How about you all stop pissing on what I’m doing and use this weekend to pull an all-nighter and make the TXP front page all nice and responsive like. We all have families, chores to do, but I can find the time, why can’t you?
This here TXP community is full of web developers, yet where are all the free Themes? I mean each and everyone one of you must have something to share with the end-user community, but no, let’s spend our time commenting on how unoriginal this or that site is. Elitist attitudes will get you nothing but weird stares at the Genius Bar, or your Starbuck’s Latte being served up with a spoonful of sputum.
Pissed off yet? Good, then do something about it. Show me what you got. I’m one elderly person with a volunteer office staff, and I’m kicking your collective asses. Oh, but I have a day job, yeah so what, I’m renovating my house. Yet I can shower up at the end of a hard day and still have the energy to sit at the keyboard at night, sometimes till the wee hours of the morning.
Do yourselves a favor one day and search for Textpattern on the Google. Read what other people have written concerning the sad state of affairs, why the project never grew and WordPress did. That’s what you should be angry about, how we let millions of potential users slip through our fingers.
I’m not your enemy, I’m a color blind carpal tunnel suffering old geek that’s just doing.
Even a dog can shake hands.
