TXP Accordion

TXP Planet, the deliberations
Emails flowed like the rain rushing down the roadside into the sewer. We negotiated all week, trying to come up with a plan that worked for the both of us. Then the idea of an accordion came to mind, feeds controlled by collapsible headings.
The TXP Planet Accordion interface is born, my entry point into the TXP world of wonderment. The left side is TXP Official, on the right we have the TXP Family. Like I said, we’re rockin’ and a-rollin’.
My Data
Data, 1’s and 0’s stored on a magnetic spindle, being read by the operating system and passed on to user programs which render it for you and I. That’s it, nothing magical about it. What I’m finding out in real short order, is that I can display my data in a multitude of ways, grid, list, full page, etc.
The TXP Family
My thinking has always been along the lines of just put something up, enhance it later. When I launch a site, it’s just that, a launch. I’m not too worried about how it looks, I’m more interested in what it says.
Every one of the TXP Family of sites will change, adapt as time progresses. It looks like this, hey look over here now, it’s new and improved, but it’s the same data with the same exact linkage.
That’s why I’ve been running Textpattern exclusively for almost 10 years, a story I wrote 7 years ago, still has the same URL. Bouncing from this CMS to that one does a number on your Google rankings.
Google likes the mobile-friendliness
Bootstrapping my TXP presence has caused all my mobile-friendly sites to move up in the rankings, it doesn’t happen overnight, but they are climbing steadily. Over the weeks and months to come, whatever I’m doing here will move up, so when you search for TXP Themes, you’ll get themes.
The Google, my how we live and die by the search these days. The page rankings, the first 10, yeah, that’s where I like to be, on that front page. Want to get to the front page? Show me your content.

In 2004, when a blog post on hcgtv made it to a front page search results, I was taken aback.
Back then the front page was controlled by the big companies, and here was I, hosting my sites on a lowly Pentium Pro Compaq Deskpro in the corner of my office, and my post had carried some weight.
Google opened my eyes, been adding fresh content ever since.
